R's boss Magilton in no rush

Magilton has allowed defender Damien Delaney to join his former club Ipswich and goalkeeper Lee Camp to move to Nottingham Forest, but the Irishman will not be rushed into recruiting replacements. "We're progressing nicely on the transfer front - we've got a few irons in the fire, but I'm not just going to bring players in for the sake of it," Magilton told Rangers' official website. "Of course there are areas of the squad that need strengthening, but I said from the first day I arrived that I would give every player a chance to impress me and that hasn't changed one bit. "Rest assured, though, we are working extremely hard behind the scenes to bring the right footballers to this club." Magilton's squad will step up their pre-season preparations with an eight-day tour of Slovenia, beginning on July 13 and including games against NK Celje and NK Karlovac.
