Rangers wait on Simpson

Jay Simpson faces a late fitness test ahead of QPR's home game against Sheffield Wednesday. The on-loan Arsenal forward has been struggling with a hamstring injury all week and boss Neil Warnock will not risk him unless he is fully fit. Defender Matt Connolly is set to miss out again with the ankle injury which sidelined him for last weekend's draw at Preston. Serbian defender Dusko Tosic, the loan deadline-day signing from Portsmouth, is pushing to make his debut. Tosic was an unused substitute at Deepdale and has since played 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek, so he could replace Wolves loanee Matt Hill at left-back. Midfielders Gavin Mahon and Martin Rowlands remain sidelined with long-term knee injuries.
