Connolly has recovered from a calf injury that ruled him out of the final pre-season friendly against Southampton at the weekend while Buzsaky has shaken off a thigh problem. Both players are now expected to be in contention for the opening-day clash with Blackpool at Loftus Road on Saturday. Goalkeeper Radek Cerny is also likely to be available following a minor bout of swine flu but Alejandro Faurlin and Mikele Leigertwood (both thigh) are set to miss out.
