QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to freshen things up against Reading

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will freshen up his side to face Reading.

Rangers lost 4-0 to Brighton on Tuesday night but Hasselbaink said he would restrict himself to "one or two" changes.

Jamie Mackie will not be involved with his season already over due to a torn hamstring.

Hasselbaink dropped goalkeeper Mike Ingram after one game, recalling Alex Smithies in midweek, and has a choice to make again, while Conor Washington could be given another chance to lead the line.

Reading expect to have defender Chris Gunter available as Brian McDermott's side look to avoid a fifth straight defeat.

Gunter has been sidelined by a groin problem, but should come back into contention for the trip to Loftus Road.

Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu continues his recovery from a thigh strain and is expected to return for the final home game of the season against Preston next weekend.

Defender Paul McShane and midfielder Danny Williams remain unavailable as they serve their three-match bans for violent conduct against each other in the game with Middlesbrough.
