Rangers to assess wing men

QPR will check on wingers Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips ahead of the visit of Middlesbrough.

Hoilett is back in training having missed the last two matches with a hamstring problem and could return to the squad but Phillips is a doubt after injuring his arm against Yeovil last weekend.

Defender Nedum Onuoha is out with a hamstring tear and strikers Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson (both knee) remain sidelined.

Boss Harry Redknapp this week boosted his attacking options with the signing of Uruguay international Javier Chevanton and he will be added to the squad.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will be without defender Rhys Williams.

The Australian was sent off for bringing down Wes Thomas in the closing stages of the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth and will serve a one-match suspension, while Emmanuel Ledesma serves the second game of his three-match ban.

Young centre-back Ben Gibson is expected to play alongside Jonathan Woodgate in Williams' absence.

Midfielder Jozsef Varga could be named in the starting line up after coming off the bench on Saturday to make his return from a hip injury.
