QPR will be presented with the npower Championship trophy on Saturday - provided they are not deducted points by the Football Association beforehand. Rangers are currently five points clear at the top of the table but the threat of FA sanctions is still hanging over them after the verdict into the Alejandro Faurlin case, due to be announced on Friday afternoon, was delayed. However, the Football League are taking the trophy to Loftus Road and Rangers skipper Adel Taarabt will lift it following their clash with Leeds. A League statement read: "The Football League can confirm it intends to present the npower Championship Trophy to Queens Park Rangers at the conclusion of the fixture with Leeds United, in line with custom and practice. "This decision will only be reviewed if the verdict of the ongoing FA Tribunal affects standings in the Championship table before that time." Rangers are fighting seven charges of breaching FA rules regarding the transfer of Argentinian midfielder Faurlin in 2009.
