Queens Park Rangers are hoping to complete deals for Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong and Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega before the transfer window closes.

New manager Mark Hughes has already brought in Nedum Onuoha from Manchester City as well as Taye Taiwo on loan from AC Milan.

The Welshman is ready to return to the transfer market to bring in more reinforcements to secure safety this season.

According to The Metro, QPR are ready to go back in for Bassong, a man who they nearly signed in the summer and may even tempt Spurs with an additional bid for South African winger Steven Pienaar.

Hughes has also identified Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega as the man to score the goals that will keep the club in the Premier League.

The Wigan Athletic forward has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool and despite being out-of-contract in the summer, could cost QPR at leaast £4million.
