No parade for Rangers

QPR have announced they will not be holding a victory parade to celebrate winning the npower Championship title. The club have given no reason for the decision, other than to say it is partly down to `factors beyond our control`. However, Rangers revealed plans are already in place for a pre-season celebration when the players return to training in July. A club statement read: "Regrettably, the club can confirm that, for a number of reasons, we will not be holding an end-of-season parade following our promotion to the Premier League. "We know this will be a huge disappointment to our fans, who have been fantastic this season, and everyone at the club shares this view. "The club held discussions about putting on such a celebration a number of weeks ago but, unfortunately, the ongoing FA inquiry, coupled with other factors beyond our control, prevent this from happening."
