New Hoops boss wants winners

The 40-year-old former Ipswich boss on Wednesday agreed a two-year deal with Rangers and insists he can handle the pressure that comes with managing the wealthy west Londoners. "Myself and the board are all of the same opinion - we want to go places," he told the club's official website. "We are an ambitious group and we share the supporters' desperation for success. "If we all stick together, which is very, very important, we'll be fine. Of course there will be ups and downs along the way but if we show that winning mentality, success will surely follow. "I think it's important we bring that winning mentality into the club, starting now. We've got to go out there and produce the goods next season. "There's always pressure on you as a player, as there is as a manager. QPR is something of a scalp nowadays and we have to deal with that. My job is to allay fear and get the players going. If we can do that we will improve."
