QPR manager Neil Warnock has handed midfielder Gavin Mahon a one-month contract. The 33-year-old was not offered a new deal by the Hoops in the summer after suffering a knee injury at the end of last season. However, he has trained with the club ever since, prompting to give him a chance to prove his worth. "The last few months have all been about getting fit, and I'm really grateful to the manager for letting me train with the club and complete my rehab here," Mahon told the club's official website. "He said to me in the summer that he liked me, but I would need to get myself fit first. This contract is like a trial really, I just have to prove myself."
