Magilton tipping Faurlin to shine

Faurlin, a £3.5million capture from Argentinian side Instituto, has been suffering with a thigh injury but finally made his debut during Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Bristol City. "It was a baptism of fire for Alejandro. It was a very hard learning curve for him in the first 45 minutes but he coped well," said Magilton. "Credit to the lad, he got on the ball regularly in the second half and showed glimpses of what a fine player he is. He passed the ball well and in the manner we want him too. "He's been out for a long time and missed a lot of pre-season, so it's a matter of waiting for him to catch up on his match fitness. He lasted longer than we thought he would, but he needs game time in his legs. "I think he's a very, very good player and will prove to be a decent acquisition for the club."
