Millwall claimed a first win in six games as they beat npower Championship leaders QPR 2-0 at The Den. After Steve Morison slammed in his 14th goal of the season, Neil Warnock's side were reduced to 10 men as Danny Shittu saw red for bringing down Morison and Liam Trotter made the points safe from the penalty spot. QPR made a bright start, with Adel Taarabt's free-kick from the left picking out Clint Hill, but his close-range header was tipped around the post by David Forde. The home side took the lead in the 63rd minute. Tamika Mkandawire played the ball through for Morison, who outpaced Gorkss and slammed the ball home on the volley. Shittu had fouled Morison on his way through to score, as referee Steve Tanner had already blown for a penalty. Shittu was sent off and Trotter stepped up to fire home the spot-kick. The lively Andros Townsend could have made it three but shot wide from six yards, while Morison forced a superb save from Paddy Kenny at the death as Millwall comfortably held on.
