QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood has signed a new contract with the club to keep him at Loftus Road until the summer of 2012. The 27-year-old, who is set to face-off against former club Sheffield United in the FA Cup on Tuesday, has made 111 appearances in all competitions for the Rs. Leigertwood told the club's official website: "I'm delighted. I've really enjoyed my two-and-a-half years here so far and I'm really pleased to be extending my stay with the club. "This club means a great deal to me and I am really settled here. "I genuinely believe there's a very bright future at the club and I want to be part of it." On Tuesday's clash at Loftus Road, he added: "The Rangers fans can be our 12th man when they're in top form, so hopefully they can cheer us on to a victory and a place in round four."
