Jim: Easy decision to join QPR

Magilton is the fifth permanent boss Rangers have had since chairman Flavio Briatore arrived on the scene less than two years ago and will be expected to mount a promotion push this term following last season's mid-table finish. The Irishman said: "From my perspective it was quite an easy decision. Looking at the current squad I felt they are better than 11th and everyone I spoke to indicated to me that they were a bunch of players I could work with. "I'm very much a hands-on manager, a training-ground manager who likes working with players and trying to get the very best out of them. "So the other bits and pieces which have gone along with the job are none of my business. At the end of the day I'll come and try to stamp my personality and character on the football club and if it's good enough then I'll stay in the job."
