Jim Magilton left his managerial role at the club on December 16 by mutual consent having been suspended after being accused of headbutting midfielder Akos Buzsaky following the 3-1 Championship defeat by Watford.

Hart told the club's official website: "Loftus Road has got to become a place where people fear to come. It will take time to get that, but that's what we're all striving for.

"We need to go on a run, but there's probably a dozen or so other manager's telling their players exactly the same thing."

He added: "Gary Johnson has done a magnificient job at Ashton Gate, but a win now would be just what the doctor ordered for us all."
