QPR chairman Tony Fernandes was left with a 'smile from one end of Tokyo to the other' after watching his team complete a stunning victory over Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Rangers looked set for yet another dismal evening when they went 2-0 down but they mounted an incredible comeback, with Shaun Derry, Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie all scoring in the final 15 minutes to earn a vital win which moves them out of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone.
Speaking from Japan in the run-up to the Malaysian Grand Prix, the owner of the Caterham Formula One team told QPR's website: "We've had a bad run of luck - but I've got a smile from one end of Tokyo to the other right now. The boys played fantastic, (manager) Mark (Hughes) did great. I'm over the moon."
He added: "We've still got a long way to go, but it's good to get some points.
"That's a real shot in the arm for us. I've been getting texts from the players and you can hear a buzz in everyone's step. The confidence is building. We've got good players. We just need a little bit of luck and that confidence will grow."
Rangers are now two points clear of the drop zone after ending a dismal run that had seen them win just once in their previous 16 attempts.
They have arguably the best squad of the five teams scrapping it out for relegation thanks to Fernandes' heavy investment in the playing squad since he took the club over last summer.
Many have questioned Hughes' purchases, and those of his predecessor Neil Warnock, but Fernandes was delighted with their performances on Wednesday night.
"A lot of people have been questioning our heart and attitude and I've been defending it, because I know these players," Fernandes added. "People who questioned whether anyone at QPR had passion, pride and determination were proved wrong last night.
"It was fantastic to watch Cisse walk off the pitch and kiss the QPR badge. He's a 150 per cent man - as is Bobby (Zamora). They've been doing us proud, and long may that continue."
