Duo sit out Italian trip

Martin Rowlands and Damion Stewart are the two notable absentees from QPR's pre-season trip to Italy. Boss Neil Warnock has named an 18-man squad for the trip to the province of Ravenna, with Rowlands staying behind for treatment on an injury and Jamaica international Stewart struggling to get a visa. "Martin will continue his rehabilitation in England before he is pencilled in to see his surgeon the following week," Warnock told the club's official website. "We're struggling with Damion, which is a shame. We're still trying but it looks like he'll have to stay back and probably play with the reserves." The 18-man squad will jet out on Tuesday for the week-long trip which will include friendlies against Equipe Romagna and Ravenna Calcio.
