New signing Shaun Derry has spoken of his delight after agreeing to join QPR on a two-year deal. The midfielder, who will join on a free transfer from Crystal Palace, will link up with his new team-mates when they return for pre-season training on July 1. Derry, 32, told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to reach agreement with the club. There's a very talented group of players already here. "When QPR came to Palace at the end of last season, in my own opinion, they were the best side we played at Selhurst Park. That was the kind of performance Neil (Warnock) will want from us next season. "The aim has to be to compete at the top - the top two ideally. We've definitely got the ability and the quality to get into the Premier League." Derry is also excited about the prospect of being reunited with Warnock, adding: "Neil was a big sway. When he comes calling, you have to consider what he brings to the table and I really like working with him."
