Queens Park Rangers are reportedly in talks with Craig Bellamy with a view to sealing a deadline day swoop for the Manchester City ace.

The 32-year-old Wales international has been expected to leave the Etihad Stadium at some point during the summer transfer window after slipping well down City boss Roberto Mancini's plans.

Bellamy, who spent last season on loan at his hometown club Cardiff City, has been linked with a move to a myriad of clubs. But he has dragged his feet over leaving City, claiming he was not interested in any of his potential suitors such as Celtic. However, as the clock ticks down towards Wednesday's 11pm deadline, it seems Bellamy will resurrect his career with Neil Warnock's QPR.

Tony Fernandes' recent takeover at Loftus Road has seen Joey Barton and Luke Young sign with Bellamy's City team-mate Shaun Wright-Phillips also set to join on Wednesday. And, the London club's ambition could well persuade Bellamy that his future lies with them.
