Ainsworth departs Loftus Road

The 36-year-old midfielder, who has twice taken caretaker charge of first team duties in recent years, has chosen to leave the club in order to prolong his playing career.[LNB]Ainsworth told the club's official website: "It's without doubt the most emotional day of my career. I feel so much a part of this club, so this is a very sad day.[LNB]"The reason I am leaving is to prolong my playing career and it is with a heavy heart that I have had to make this decision.[LNB]"I want to thank every fan of the club for making my spell here so fantastic and unforgettable. QPR will always have a special place in my heart."[LNB]Ainsworth joined QPR in June 2003 after being released by Cardiff and went on to make 152 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 21 goals.[LNB][LNB]
