Alex Harris unavailable to face Hibs

Queen of the South will be without winger Alex Harris when they host Hibs.

Harris cannot play as he is on loan from Easter Road and the Doonhamers' firepower is weakened further with the absence of the injured Callum Tapping (knee), Iain Russell (hamstring) and Dale Hilson (foot).

Manager James Fowler said: "We secured wins over Hibs home and away last season and despite a big turnaround in both squads we can take confidence from that.

"Our game with Falkirk last Friday was cagey however I am expecting a much more open contest with a Hibs side that have been in good form recently.

"I watched them beat Aberdeen and whilst that was an impressive win we can beat them."

Hibs head coach Alan Stubbs is still without seven players.

Islam Feruz (knock) and Jordon Forster, Fraser Fyvie and James Keatings (all hamstring) should return to training on Monday while Henri Anier, Adam Eckersley and Farid El Alagui are not far behind.

Ahead of the trip to Palmerston, Stubbs told Hibs TV: "I think all grounds have got hurdles to overcome. Palmerston's biggest one you would say is the surface, but we know what it is.

"We went there last season and we won one and lost one, so this season we'd like to improve on that and have a 100 per cent record there. Our form is decent going into the game."
