Trio still missing as Queen of the South look to get season back on track

Queen of the South manager James Fowler has ruled out three key players ahead of Falkirk's visit to Palmerston Park.

Defender Andy Dowie (hamstring), midfielder Callum Tapping (knee) and strike Dale Hilson (foot) are all out.

There is also a major question mark against midfielder Kyle Hutton as Queens look to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Morton last time out.

Fowler said: "The season has been very stop-start so far and last week was another setback but I'm still confident if we can get a few results and build the confidence back up we will climb the table again."

Falkirk are again without defender Kieran Duffie and midfielder Tom Taiwo, with both players suffering from knee injuries.

The Bairns are hoping to continue their four-game winning streak and manager Peter Houston is confident that can continue.

He said: "We are playing with a lot of confidence just now and have strikers scoring at a good rate. The entire team are doing well to create chances for the front men and we will look to keep that going.

"Queen of the South are a dangerous side who are probably disappointed that they do not have more points on the board than they have so we need to guard against that."
