Duo back to face Dundee

Queen of the South have Chris Higgins and Iain Russell available after suspension as they face Championship leaders Dundee for a second week in a row.

The Doonhamers defeated Falkirk 2-0 last Saturday to help Dundee reach the summit, but they have lost Paul Burns from that line-up due to a ban with recent signing Mark Kerr expected to start in his place.

Goalkeeper Zander Clark (thigh) and Ryan McGuffie (groin) are also out injured.

Manager Jim McIntyre said: "Dundee have had a lift from Paul Hartley going in but we defeated them at Palmerston earlier in the season and it would be great to do so again."

Paul Hartley takes Dundee on the road for the first time and is missing four players from his squad through injury with Iain Davidson (hamstring), Stephen O'Donnell (knee), Steven Doris (stomach) and Craig Beattie (knee) all out.

Hartley said: "I have been delighted with the application I have had from the players since I came in and that will need to continue against a good Queen of the South side.

"Jim McIntyre is a really good manager and under him Queen's have hit a bit of form and climbed the table as a result.

"They will see this game as chance to win and haul themselves into the title race."
