Super sub fires Queens to victory

Gavin Reilly came off the bench to score twice as Queen of the South left it late to claim all three points with a 2-0 win over high-flying Falkirk.

Bob McHugh missed a golden opportunity to open the scoring for Queens on 27 minutes when he put a close-range shot wide.

Michael Paton fired just over as the hosts continued to create the better chances but they were not to be denied the opener 10 minutes from time, Reilly heading Derek Lyle's cross home from six yards.

Reilly was on target again in the 86th minute as he drilled a left-footed shot beyond Michael McGovern from 12 yards to knock Falkirk off top spot and keep Queens' promotion hopes alive.
