Russia coach Advocaat set for PSV return

Dutch coach Dick Advocaat, who will leave his post as coach of Russia after Euro 2012, has "a verbal agreement" to return to former club PSV Eindhoven in July, according to Dutch media reports on Tuesday.
"We have a verbal agreement, but we still need to put everything down on paper. I expect that to happen this week," Advocaat was quoted as saying by magazine Voetbal International.
Advocaat will replace Philip Cocu, who had been acting as caretaker since Fred Rutten was sacked in March.
Ernest Faber will be his assistant, with Cocu coaching the club's reserve team.
During his first spell in charge at the Philips Stadion, Advocaat won the Dutch Cup in 1996 and the Eredivisie title in 1997.
Nicknamed the 'Little General' Advocaat had a brief spell in charge of Belgium's national team between October 2009 and April 2010.
In May 2010 he became Russia coach, leading them to this summer's European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, where they will face Greece, Czech Republic and Poland in Group A.
"I had not told the players that I was going to step down, but I have confidence that this decision will not disturb our preparations for the Euro," Advocaat said after news that he was quitting Russia was made public.
