    Writer Bio

My name is James Paul Henry (pseudonym of Olivier Tytgat), a 20-year-old English Literature student at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Born and raised in Belgium, yet strangely enough only writing in English.

I’ve been writing since I was 15, mostly just short stories, poetry and what-not. My first actual writing experience was entering, and eventually winning, the Flemish high school translation (Latin – Dutch) competition. From then on, I’ve been entering poetry contests, most recently the Poetry Society’s National Poetry Competition, all in English of course.

Next to writing I have a passion for football, which is why I was rejoiced to find Football.co.uk on the Web. I had visited the site many a time to read articles, but when I saw the link on the main page I knew I had to give it a go. Combining my love for writing and the beautiful game, there’s not much better than doing what you love, is there?

The Premier League is, to me, the most tense competition out there. All those teams with both history and future makes for one interesting league. Being a bit of an outsider, being from across the pond and all, I am not bound to supporting one club. Still, if I have to choose one, I’d say I’m more a Manchester City fan than anything else
