Feature writer on Match Weekly football magazine (EMAP).
1986-1988
Originally employed as Chief Feature writer on Shoot magazine for whom Icovered the 1988 Euro Championships in Germany; the 1990 World Cup inItaly; the 1992 Euro Championships in Sweden. I was subsequently appointed as chief sub editor and then deputy editor before being appointed editor in 1993. I was made group editor in 1994, taking onresponsibility for Soccerstars and World Soccer magazines.
1998-2000
Launch editor of the football website Football365 before editing theofficial Premier League website (magicsponge.com) for then sponsors Carling. On transfer of the Premier League sponsorship from Carling to Barclays, I edited Champions League magazine published by Alliance International Media.
2000-2011
Joined the Professional footballers' Association (PFA) as launch editor of the union's official website (givemefootball.com) and was also responsible for writing for and editing various PFA publications, including New Goals, Profile and the PFA annual player of the year brochure, working closely with chief executive Gordon Taylor. Left my position as editor when the PFA withdrew from their arrangement with our website partners in September 2011.
