    Writer Bio

I was born in Manchester at St Mary’s hospital which was almost overlooking Maine Road (MCFC old stadium) and like most guys, football is my passion. I am of course Man City born and bred. I watch every game possible to the annoyance of my wife and enjoy watching all teams in England and abroad, seeing the differences in style and being naturally analytical of team and individual performances.

The first game I have slight memories of is against Walsall at home which I think was in 1986 when I was 8 years old. I still have the matchday program at home somewhere and I know the game finished 2-2. The memories I have of this game is a freezing cold Maine Road, stood in the Kippax with my inflatable banana dressed in a city shirt and scarf and of course my father looking uncomfortable being an Oldham fan.

It is far too easy for me to say city’s league winning game against QPR when Aguero scored in the last seconds is my favourite moment as it city fan. Although it is definitely up there, my favourite game was actually against Gillingham at Wembley in the play offs. It’s the first game I ever cried tears of joy and was such a fantastic day.
