My first experience of match reporting came when I won a national competition to visit Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. At the event I met Peter Shilton and was presented with a signed shirt from Shay Given.
The competition organisers were aware that I was a Liverpool fan and they gave me the opportunity to write for the official Liverpool Football Club website as a junior match reporter.
I did this for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons. Throughout the 2012/13 season, I was a match reporter for Marine FC in the 'National Non-League Newspaper' and will also take up this role during the 2013/14 season. I am currently taking my A levels and Sports Journalism is the career which I want to pursue.
