Zat Knight is a very tall centre back who joined Bolton Wanderers from Aston Villa during the 2009 summer transfer window. A defender who reads the game well and is effective in the air, Zat began his career with Fulham where he made over 150 first-team appearances. A regular at Villa Park in his first season, he was in and out of the side in 2008-09 before his move to the Reebok. Since joining Bolton, Zat has rarely been absent from the line-up, although he missed several matches in the early part of 2011 after suffering a knee injury. He won two caps for England back in May 2005.
