Ben Coker is a young left-sided player who joined League One club Colchester United in the summer of 2010 after spending the previous season at Southern League club Bury Town. 

Ben had a couple of months on loan to Chelmsford City in the first half of the season and was eventually handed his Football League debut against Bournemouth in January when he appeared at left back. 

He was then a regular in the starting line-up through to the end of the season with his performances earning him the club's Young Player of the Year award.
