Yohan Cabaye Biography

An experienced central-midfield player who signed for Newcastle United in the summer of 2011.

Yohan quickly established himself for the Magpies, forming an extremely effective partnership alongside Cheick Tiote in the centre of the park, and was rarely absent all season.

He is a box-to-box player who is comfortable on the ball. Prior to his arrival at St James’ Park he had spent the whole of his senior career with Lille where he had been a member of the team that achieved a domestic league and cup double in 2010-11.

Yohan made his full international debut for France in August 2010 and was a member of the squad for Euro 2012.
