Wayne Hennessey a goalkeeper who progressed through the youth set-up at Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign a professional contract in April 2005. He is a ?keeper who is strong in the air and with good reflexes. After progressing through the Wolves? youth and reserve teams, he gained experience out on loan before making his first appearances for the club in the highly charged play-off semi-final matches against neighbours West Bromwich Albion in May 2007. He soon became Wolves' first-choice 'keeper, winning the club's Player of the Season award in 2007-08 and retaining his place in 2008-09. In the last two seasons he has been challenged for the jersey by Marcus Hahnemann, but he finished the 2010-11 campaign as first choice once more. Wayne won his first cap for Wales against New Zealand in May 2007.
