Victor Anichebe

Victor Anichebe Biography

Victor Anichebe is a striker who graduated to the professional ranks with Everton in April 2006.

A fast and powerful forward, he made his reserve team debut as a 15-year-old, and was introduced to senior football less than two years later. Since then, the majority of his appearances have been from the substitutes’ bench, where his speed and power have made an impact in the later stages of games.

Although he is a striker, Victor has been called into the squad to play on the right wing at various times, and performed admirably in that role during the FA Cup run of 2009. Since then he has been affected by injuries and has yet to establish himself in the first team at Goodison.

Victor represents Nigeria at international level and was a member of the team that won a silver medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, later going on to win representative honours for the full national side.
