Valon Behrami

Valon Behrami is a midfield player who joined West Ham United in July 2008 from Italian club Lazio. He quickly became a key figure and a crowd favourite due to his non-stop work rate and tigerish skills. He struggled with injuries in 2009-10 and his appearances were again restricted in 2010-11 before he left Upton Park in January 2011 to join Fiorentina. Valon began his career with Lugano and later played for Genoa before joining Lazio in 2005. He appeared for Switzerland in the 2010 World Cup finals and currently has 30 caps for his country.
