Tony Diagne is a young central defender who signed for League Two club Macclesfield Town in January 2011. Tony is a tall left-sided player who is at home at both centre back and left back. He developed in the academy at Nottingham Forest appearing for the Reds' reserve team before he was released in the summer of 2010. Tony returned to France and played for the Paris-based team FC Municipal d'Aubervilliers before being given his chance with the Silkmen. He featured regularly in the starting line-up for Macclesfield during the second half of 2010-11.
