Player Details

Tom Cairney is a young midfielder who is currently on the books of Hull City. He came up through the club?s youth scheme, winning the Tigers? Young Player of the Year award for 2008-09. Tom signed a professional contract in the summer of 2009, making his senior debut for Hull in a Carling Cup tie against Southend in August when he scored an excellent goal after just seven minutes and he featured regularly in the second half of the campaign. He continued to add to his experience of senior football in 2010-11. A central midfielder, Tom has won praise for his composure, cool head under pressure and range of passing skills. He has previously been capped for Scotland at U17 and U19 levels and made his debut for the U21s against Sweden in August 2010.
