Tim Krul Biography

A ‘keeper who joined Newcastle United from Den Haag in July 2005.

He progressed into the first-team squad making a dream debut in his second season at the club when he played against Palermo in the UEFA Cup. Tim gained experience in loan spells at Falkirk and Carlisle United before making his League debut for the Magpies in August 2009.

He made further appearances in the Championship and began 2010-11 on the bench. Tim got his chance in September when Steven Harper was injured and went on to make regular appearances in the Barclays Premier League. Tim retained the jersey throughout 2011-12 when he was ever-present in League fixtures during the season.

He has represented the Netherlands at U21 level and made his full international debut in June 2011 when he kept a clean sheet in a friendly against Brazil and he was a member of the squad for the Euro 2012 finals.
