Teddy Nesbitt is a hard tackling left back who spent the 2010-11 season as a trainee on the books of Southend United. An attacking player with the ability to cross the ball into the danger zone, he featured regularly for the U18 and reserve teams. Teddy stepped up to make his debut in senior football for the Shrimpers at Stockport in March, when he came off the bench and played the whole of the second half, while he gained further experience when he came on in the closing stages of the home win over Bradford City the following month. Teddy, who was previously attached to Chelsea?s youth scheme, was selected as the League Football Apprentice of the Month for March 2011.
