Centre back Tamika Mkandawire must rank as one of Millwall's best signings in recent times when he was snapped up from League One neighbours Leyton Orient in the summer of 2010.

He gave so many assured displays in the unaccustomed role of centre midfield that he easily won the supporters’ Player of the Year award at the end of his first season at The Den.

Tamika is thoroughly comfortable on the ball and claimed his first Millwall goal with a crisply hit shot into the bottom of the net in the 1-1 draw at Swansea City prior to Christmas.

He also offers a threat from dead-ball situations.
