Tamas Kadar is a young defender who joined Newcastle United in January 2008 after playing in his native Hungary.

Tamas progressed in the reserves at St James' Park before making his senior debut in August 2009 against Huddersfield Town in the Carling Cup. He made a number of further appearances for the Magpies in the Championship but found his chances were restricted after the club returned to the Premier League. Tamas played twice in the Carling Cup but that proved his only first team action for Newcastle in 2010-11. Tamas, who is a left-sided centre back but can also play at left back, was loaned to Huddersfield Town in January 2011.

However, after just two games for the Terriers he was injured and went on to miss the remainder of the season.

He represented Hungary at U19 and U21 levels before making his full international debut in November 2010 when he played in a friendly against Lithuania.
