Steven Nzonzi is a tall central midfield player who signed for Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2009. Steven is a box-to-box player who can also play in a defensive holding role if required; he is strong in the air and has good distribution. He produced a fine performance for Rovers on his debut against Manchester City on the opening day of the 2009-10 season and went on to enjoy a superb campaign finishing up as the club?s Player of the Year. He retained his place in the side at the start of 2010-11 but then missed time through injury before returning towards the end of the season. Steven spent the early years of his career with SC Amiens and has been capped for France U21s.
