Stephen McManus

Stephen McManus is a defender currently playing for Middlesbrough. Stephen arrived on a permanent basis from Celtic in the summer of 2010, after a highly successful loan period in the previous season. A commanding centre back, who previously captained Celtic in the Champions League and Scotland at international level, Stephen was an immediate hit with the Boro fans. He captained Middlesbrough at several points during the 2010-11 campaign following his return from an ankle injury that kept him out for several months mid-season. A dependable player, Stephen is a key figure at the heart of the Boro defence.
