Stephen Warnock is an experienced defender who signed for Aston Villa in August 2009. A solid and reliable left back, he quickly established himself in the Villa first team and was a regular in the line-up during 2009-10. He retained his place the following season until the defeat by Manchester City at the end of December, after which he fell out of favour and made no further Premier League appearances before the end of the campaign. Stephen developed in the Liverpool Academy, spending eight seasons as a professional with the Reds before moving on to Blackburn Rovers in January 2007. He won his first cap for England in June 2008 and was a member of the squad for the 2010 World Cup finals but did not add to his total of appearances during the tournament. Currently on loan with Bolton for 3 months.
