Stephen Purches has yet to make his first team debut.
Stephen Purches is an experienced defender who rejoined Bournemouth in the summer of 2010 having spent the previous three seasons with Leyton Orient. A versatile player who is comfortable in any role across the back line, Stephen began the 2010-11 campaign on the bench but quickly gained a place in the line-up only to suffer a back injury which ruled him out of action. Once fit he found it difficult to get back in the side and he added just one more start during the season. Stephen started his career at West Ham before joining the Cherries where he made nearly 300 appearances during his first spell, scoring a superb goal in the 2003 play-off final against LincolnCity at Cardiff. Stephen moved on to join the O?s where he was club captain before his move back to Dean Court.
