Simon Moore is a teenaged goalkeeper who joined Brentford in the summer of 2009. Simon was at the Southampton Academy earlier in his career and then developed with Wessex League club Brading Town before spending 2008-09 at Farnborough. He is a tall, athletic goalkeeper who began his Brentford career as third-choice ?keeper but progressed through the reserves and made his Football League debut when he came off the bench for the final couple of minutes against Hartlepool in May 2010. Simon, who has represented the Isle of Wight in the Island Games, began 2010-11 in the starting line-up for the Bees, but was later loaned to Basingstoke Town for three months to gain further experience. Soon after his return he was back in the first team replacing the injured Richard Lee. Simon played in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley and added further appearances in the final weeks of the season.
