Shaun Cummings

Shaun Cummings is a versatile defender who joined Reading shortly before the end of the summer 2009 transfer window. A right back at heart, who is comfortable on the ball and effective when pushing forward, Shaun came through the Chelsea Academy and was dragged away from a loan spell at West Brom to join former Chelsea coach Brendan Rodgers' Royals. Despite an in-and-out start to life at Reading, Shaun stepped in at crucial times last season to earn spontaneous applause from his peers a number of occasions - whilst playing at left back in an August win at Leicester and most notably after a right wing performance in the Royals' euphoric play-off semi-final victory in Cardiff.
