An experienced player he was signed to fill a gap left by the departure of several other centre backs in the summer of 2010. Sebastien is effective in the air and poses a danger when joining in with the attack. An early-season injury to Thomas Vermaelen saw him step into the breach and he partnered Laurent Koscielny in the heart of the defence in the first half of the campaign, featuring less regularly thereafter.
