Player Details

Scott Vernon is a striker who joined Colchester United in January 2008. Scott began 2009-10 on the bench coming on to score in the big opening day win at Norwich. He hit three goals in the first five games of the campaign but lost his place and was loaned to Gillingham.  Scott suffered an injury in the first half of his debut for the Gills which put him out of action for three months. On his return to fitness he remained out of favour at Colchester and was loaned to the U's League One rivals Southend United.  Scott left Colchester in the summer of 2010 and signed for Aberdeen finishing as the SPL club's leading scorer in the 2010-11 season.
