Sam Sodje is an experienced central defender who became Paul Ince’s first signing for Notts County in November 2010. 

Sam featured occasionally on the bench for the Magpies to begin with but made a number of appearances in the starting line-up towards the end of the season. 

Sam developed in non-league football before joining Brentford in July 2004. He later had spells with Reading and Charlton and began the 2010-11 campaign with Greek club Skoda Xanthi. 

However, the move was not a success and he quickly returned to the UK, having trials with a number of clubs before joining the Magpies. Sam is a former international player for Nigeria.
